The Blessing Still Burns

Promise Made. Blessing Given. Hope Shared.

When sin scorched the ground in Genesis 3–4, it looked like God’s blessing had been blown out for good. But the promise God spoke to Abraham—“I will bless you… and you will be a blessing”—was already alive beneath the ash. In the story of Cain and Abel, we see two ways to live: the way of Cain, offering God leftovers and guarding resentment, and the way of faith, offering God our first and best. Jesus picks up this same contrast in Matthew 5:21–24, exposing empty religion and calling His people back to wholehearted trust. This week we’ll discover that even when life feels burned over, God’s blessing isn’t extinguished. It still burns—and it’s calling us to walk by faith. (the sermon is a bit different so stay engaged).
